Strumble Diary 20/08/2021

My surveys have been a bit hit and miss over the past week as my grandchildren are staying and time for surveys is intermittent. I have managed a few short surveys though and the series of porpoise pics are a mixed bag taken over a few sessions from the 12th to the 18th. The first images though are from today on the morning ebb tide. I had two Rissos  off to the NW at mid distance and an hour or so later a group of ten or so Common dolphin were feeding out in the tide race for 15 minutes or so before moving on. Strangely there were no porpoises showing, not that I was expecting many as we#re on small tides at present. The weather wasn't the best with 100% cloud cover most of the time giving quite flat light.
