Monday 24th September
Chris and I went to Strumble Head at 2:30pm.
And we saw 4 Harbour Porpoises at the top of the flooding tide.
It was quite difficult to pick them out amongst the big rollers
and also we saw a quite a few gannets at the time.
The wind was gusting strongly and the sea condition
was very rough with a strong westerly wind force 6
Cheers
Stevo
P:S
lets hope if the weather is good on Friday on the Celtic Wildcat trip if we get out on it
Yep Stevo, and a couple of hours later, Jon, Dave and I were watching a porpoise close in off the Breakwater but it was rough and I could not get a photo!there cant be too many places where even in a storm people can be watching cetaceans from the shore!
