29th September - Strumble Head
An unusual sighting sent in from Philip Robinson on Monday:
"Mixed bag today high tide just before Strumble,rissos,common and at least two white beaked-putting on a real show!-first whites I have ever seen up here."
Philip recorded 15-20 common dolphins, 5+ Risso's dolphins and what appears to have been 2 white beaked dolphins all in the same area off Pontiago Bay! This is our first ever record of white beaked dolphins at Strumble in over 30 years of watching at the spot. Good stuff!
