Strumble Diary 18/02/2019

Despite the rising temperatures of late the stiff westerly winds were still chilled and biting during this session. The porpoise though don't care for our world and were there in good numbers feeding well and luckily for me quite close in meaning a chance for some good images. A steady stream of porpoise in small groups of three to four and some singles kept me busy on the shutter button over an hour or more as the tide race formed. In between shooting and as I was talking to some visitors an adult seal brought up an octopus right in front of the lookout. Something we often see the new young seals doing in Sept - Oct but this is the first time I've observed an adult with one. Sadly no marked porpoise today but a very good and productive session all the same.
