Strumble Diary 27/05/2021

As I left for Strumble this morning I had a feeling it was going to be a good day. The sun was shining and warming for a change and with a very light Southerly wind I was sure we would see porpoise today. Indeed we did, with myself having sighted several distant porps before the Thursday volunteers arrived to do they're survey. As the tide race formed several small groups of porpoise came in and started to feed in front of us about a 1/4mile out. The highlight was my first calf of the year with it's mother and another adult. All in all a very pleasing session.
