As I arrived today the survey team were in their last half hour of recording. They had seen several porpoise breaches and a good number of animals throughout their survey. After they departed I settled in for my afternoon session with the dropping tide getting well underway. Sightings were slow and distant at first but things soon picked up and I had a busy session with porpoise showing for a good two hours. Conditions were thankfully good and I got some decent shots. One new (to me anyway) marked animal so hopefully another for our ever expanding catalogue.
