A lovely bright start to the morning today with a light northerly wind and not too cold which always helps this time of year. As soon as I got set up I was spotting Commons out to the NW in what was the first stirrings of the ebbing tide race. Not nearly as many as yesterday with about twelve or so feeding over a wide area. One or two came a bit closer in but then they all moved off to the west. I sighted three porpoise just before the survey team arrived and for the next two hours it was fairly quiet with just another few sightings, which was half expected as we're on big tides at present which seems to deter some of the porpoise from coming in close.
