Strumble Diary 04/03/2025

Before I write today's blog, I went to Strumble yesterday mid afternoon but not for a full survey and for the record saw seven porpoise and two small groups of commons in the twenty minutes or so that I was there.

Thankfully this morning the wind had eased and the sky although overcast was not too grey and heavy. Immediately I spotted several Commons moving around and indeed they were visible off and on right through the morning, only moving off to the West at the bottom of the tide. Porpoise were sporadic with short periods of action spaced by no action. A dozen or so sightings through the session with some good close views in the tide race. Conditions were calm with slightly flatish light at times as cloud cover moved over.
