Such a perfect day...

It started bright and early at7am with a visit to the ouiter breakwater but although i had a great time  finding and snapping birds no cetaceans. At ten some of Sea Trusts brightest got together at the O lab which was great and really neccessary but I was desperate to get to Strumble and see what we might find. First find was Graham and Linda Rees which is also very fine but Hannah insisted we should be scientific and do a click  count. It did not look so good as we saw only odd animals prior to doing the count but an hour later we had averaged out 18 porpoise sightings//surfacings per hour including a mother and calf..Graham and Linda left and soon after the Lucas family arrived "en masse" which rounded things off nicely!
