Porpoise watch at Strumble

Monday 26th August

The Bank Holiday Porpoise Watch was in doubt all day long because of the thick sea mist reducing the visibility sometimes to almost nothing.

However we went out to Strumble at 7pm and found the visibility quite good, and 4 or 5 Enthusiastic families waiting patiently.

We managed to se a few porpoises beyond the lighthouse, one seal swimming close by , and many gannets and Manx shearwaters flying past.

So it turned out to be a good evening after all!

Roll on the next Bank Holiday porpoise watch ( New Year's Day) Cheers Stevo and Tony Lucas

Big thanks to all who turned up!
