From Alan Williams - I was at Port Eynon point, Gower, between 4.30 and 6pm today. A slow
'scope scan produced 26 porpoises thinly spread over a large area to the
East of the point. To the West of the point a pod of 6 common dolphins
was feeding before swimming over to the East where I had counted the
porpoises earlier.
And from Judy Evans - in Oxwich bay, gower mother and calf porpoise on Tuesday 21st August at
approximate 6.45 pm when I was on my kayak in the bay about 5-600 metres
offshore. The porpoises were about 40 metres from my kayak, one much
smaller than the other and very close to the larger one. They were
heading out of the bay.
