Today Marged and myself took a group of scouts onto the north breakwater to look for dolphins. Calm conditions and quite warm. There was quite a heavy sea mist still lurking so visibility wasn't great. I saw at least 4 bottlenose in the distance, but unfortunately they didn't venture any closer. Marged spotted a seal popping up to say hello and there were 2 unidentified cetaceans later on, enjoying the wake of a fishing boat as it came into harbour; seen by the lads and their scout leader. They also recorded lots of sea birds and hopefully next time, we'll see some close-up dolphin action!
