Ocean Lab Project Coordinator
Fantastic opportunity to work with Sea Trust in Fishguard.
We need a young computer literate marine biologist / zoologist to work with us based in the Ocean Lab Fishguard. Initially a six month contract but may be extended to 1 year starting in April. Some weekend work and occasional odd hours, the applicant must be capable of using initiative and outgoing We would expect the successful applicant to work a trial period with us and Welsh speaker would be an advantage. Enthusiasm and wildlife knowledge as important as qualifications. 30.5 hours a week, £11,500 per annum

Main duties
Development and delivery of visitor services/activities
Recruitment and support of volunteers
Maintain funding and and identify sustainable sources of income to ensure the continuation of the post beyond 2019
Development and implementation of marketing and publicity programme
Development of partnerships with local schools and businesses
Person specification
Desirable:
Enthusiastic, experience of marine aquaria, maintenance and management
Degree in marine biology desirable/good knowledge of local marine wildlife and habitats
Good verbal and written skills / DBS certification or willingness to undertake one
Good sea legs!
Experience of fundraising / live locally or within 10 miles of Ocean Lab / experience of marine mammal observation
