Strumble Diary 17/08/2017

An afternoon session on a rising tide with a stiffening westerly wind but at least the sun was shining. The action was slow to start but as the tide race formed the porps started to forage. Holly and Fenela were also there with the new camera kit and it was soon being put to use as Holly was tracking porps several hundred metres out. They returned to the Ocean Lab after a couple of hours and left me to it. As the law of sod would have it about twenty minutes later the action picked up and over a 45 minute period at least thirty more porps came through some in tight family groups and other larger more spread out gatherings. I finished the session around 14.50.
