Strumble Diary 01/04/2018

Happy Easter to you all. A new day a new month but still the porps keep coming. Sadly unable to make the open porpoise watch session today but I did manage a morning session on the ebbing tide. A slow but steady session with around a dozen porpoise showing through the tide race. The second animal captured on camera was an old friend who is now I believe the most recorded of all our porpoises at Strumble with in excess of 10 sightings over the past few years. Very distinctive and unmistakable with it's abnormal dorsal fin. After the excitement of that sighting things calmed down with a steady stream of sightings every 10-15 minutes or so until it tailed off with the dropping tide.
