Strumble Diary 11/02/2019

It seems an age since I posted last. I have been going to Strumble but the truth is that between poor weather and generally lower numbers of porpoise shooting has been difficult to say the least. Today though was a better affair with bright sunshine and a lighter wind than of late. It was a rising tide not far off it's maximum but the porpoise were still milling around and feeding in what was left of the tide race. Hopefully with fair weather for most of the week and with the flood tides advancing I'll have more of a chance of some decent surveys. A bonus from today was a marked porpoise (last image) we've not seen before so another for the Fin ID Catalogue.
