Strumble Diary 29/09/2020

A quiet start today at Strumble but it didn't take long for the tide race to build up to quite a pace. We saw several porpoise as it was forming and many more came through as the morning went on.  The light was very patchy as banks of cloud passed over which did make sighting more difficult than usual. As the porpoise activity died down it was the turn of the common dolphin to keep us on our toes. Three groups of between 15-20 animals over a thirty minute period ensured my shutter finger was well excercised. Bonus for this session was another sighting of "Chopper" a porpoise with propeller damage by it's tail so another re-sighting for the fin ID project.
