A Stunning Day on the High Seas (Continued)

I really enjoy these pelagic survey trips as much as anything for the sheer buzz of photographing the wonderful wildlife out there. Then comes the hours of sorting and processing the hundreds of images taken on each trip. Some dread this part of photography but I really enjoy it as much as the taking. The reward is seeing the finished print knowing I've done the best I can with it then being able to show you all what wonders we have off our shores. It's a feeling that's hard to describe, sort of like showing off your baby for the first time a mix of pride and excitement I suppose. This first image is one that stirs me. A shot of my favourite sea bird the Fulmar which gracefully glided over the boats wake. Anyway, enough of the rambling, here's a selection of more of the images from our trip.
