The forecast said sun but the cloud hung on stubbornly making the light quite flat and coupled with a northerly wind made the conditions quite lumpy to say the least. I started the session around 10am and it felt more like a cold morning in March rather than August. Pre tide race a total of five animals sighted but I could not get on them for any images. No further sightings for some forty minutes or so and then the Porpmeister AKA Cliff arrived and with two pairs of eyes we started to see more coming in to feed. Over the next very frustrating two hours or so we had upward of thirty sightings but a good many were just fin tips or splashes. I did then get my eye in and started to gather some shots as they sped through the tide race. Frustrating it may have been but it was good to see the numbers there all the same. Bonus sightings were Bonxie (Great Skua) female Kestrel and a Peregrine Falcon.
