A good strong tide running as I arrived today with a light wind from the north. The sea was fairly confused but eased later as the wind dropped away. I had two small pods of common dolphin with about an hour between with the second group staying around out to the west for an hour or so feeding with several gannets in attendance. Fran arrived with the Monday volunteers just around 11ish and it was a good half hour later before we saw two porpoise well out to the north and indeed theses were the only two I saw before leaving. Hopefully they saw more during their survey.
