Over the past week Risso;s have been recorded every day by different extremely reliable observers.The Monday Photo ID group saw them as did the Tuesday group (See below) On Wednesday a friend of Adrian's had at least one, several observers had them on Thursday and Friday despite very rough seas!
...Rissos dolphin and porps seen on occasion, but tricky to estimate numbers in such rough conditions. from George Mee et al, and alsoJohn O’Sullivan ... Thursday the 25th I had one sighting of a single large fin out to the NW beyond the tide race. ...Friday the 26th two close Risso’s on the near edge of the tide race. Both biggish animals, very similar in size, Grey with much paler grey heads, they were around for at least 10 minutes.
