Hi everyone. Nice to be back at last after a short holiday followed by other matters that needed my attention. A southwesterly wind forecast gave wind against tide at Strumble leading to some large swells as the ebb tide increased in flow. As I approached the last bend before the car park I could see out in the tide a large pod of Common Dolphin heading west at good speed. A short dash to park up and a dive into the boot to get the camera out. No time for tripod so a few handheld shots before the disappeared out of sight. At a rough count I would say between 50/60 in three or four groups. Shortly after the porpoises came in to feed but they were being quite stealthy with mostly just fin tips showing. Some did show better which allowed for some pics at least so not all bad. Weather forecast not so good for the weekend ahead so I'll have to see how it goes as to when my next session will be. Watch this space.
