Strumble Diary from John o' Sullivan 5/11/21.

 Cetaceans

All in the tide race in front of or to the SW of the shelter. In order seen

Risso’s a single, a huge fin seen on a number of occasions. The biggest I’ve ever seen
A pod of Common c20
8 Risso’s in the near edge of the tide race, cruising and lolling about for 15+ minutes
A single porpoise
A second pod of Common c10
Also there was a survey party using amongst other things a drone to examine the flow in the tide race. One of the times the drone landed a female Merlin came in right across the front of the shelter and appeared to check out both the drone, the operators and me. It looked straight at me from a few yards away
