A westerly wind and some decent sunshine early on today brought hopes of a fruitful survey. I was expecting a good strong tide and that's how it turned out. A sighting of two porpoise at distance at about thirty minutes in and that was it for the next hour or so until the tide started to lose some of it's strength. Then only a few came in over the next hour or so but at least they were there. A couple visiting from the Oxford area showed a keen interest in what I was doing so spent an hour or so with them passing on knowledge on all things Strumble and cetaceans. They were grateful for the info and I was more than happy to pass it on as if it broadens their enjoyment of the experience then for me it's worth the time. Sometimes I just can't help myself though as I love the interaction and educating people.
