A glorious day at Strumble today only slightly spoiled by The nagging easterly wind. As I approached I could see Commons ahead so I stopped well short of the car park in an attempt to get a shot before they rounded the point. Too Slow!! By the time I got the kit out they were under and gone.
I made my way to the headland above the point and settled in for my morning session. Off to the NW but very distant some more Commons this time 40+ to add to the dozen or so seen earlier. They tracked east and I last saw them again very distant heading toward Cemaes Hd. By this time one or two porpoise were starting to show further out east towards Fishguard Bay and at this time I was joined by Holly and Rubi who had come out for the Tuesday survey. The porpoise came back with the dropping tide and before long were feeding in front of us. Several animals over a two hour period kept us busy with the oft seen (lately anyway) heavily marked porpoise appearing in many of the photos. I think it likes Strumble :-). As the tide flow eased so did the action and we left for home happy at having had an excellent session.
