Having left Strumble I returned to Goodwick and headed to the flagpoles to see what birds might be on the shoreline there. Nothing much of interest so I returned to the car and looking out toward the north breakwater I spotted several large splashes. Only dolphins could do that I thought so off I went. I was right. There were five there, a few adults and two youngsters. Since I've had my new camera kit I've been longing to get contact with a more active group rather than the one's and two's weve seen of late.
They were foraging well moving around chasing fish for most of the time but every now and then the youngsters would intevene and instigate a play session with at least one of the adults joining in. One of them was holding a fish in it's mouth and it was like playing tag or teasing the other to come get it. So as you can imaging plenty of pics and a happy smiling photographer. Sadly I had to leave while they were still there but really enjoyable to see all the same.
