Firstly appologies for the lower than usual quality of the images, this is due to heat haze/shimmer affecting the images.
Out in time for the dropping tide today with a very warm southerly breeze keeping the wave tops foaming beyond the shelter of the land. A large number of butterflies around and an emperor dragonfly buzzing me every so often. Out at sea things were very quiet to start. Two hours in and I was joined by Cliff and Fran. Shortly after that I spotted our first porpoise which showed very briefly. It was some minutes later that a group of several porpoise came in to feed and were very active some 400mtrs out. By this time Stevo had arrived with Tony and Delyth and they enjoyed a picnic on the grass bank while watching the porpoise getting their lunch too. As the tide race picked up it pushed the porpoise off to the west and after some twenty minutes of action we lost sight of them. I stayed on a while longer but no further action observed.
