Two birders at Strumble this morning informed me of commons in the area. I set up and sure enough there they were out in front of the lookout. As you may know by now we often see common dolphin feeding casually from time to time but this is the first time I've seen them close in bringing a bait ball to the surface and hammering the fish in quite a frenzied way. The images whilst good do not do the scene justice and I have taken some video clips so hopefully you'll get a better idea of what we were seeing. Later in the session I spotted a total of eight or so porpoise but due to the nature of the sightings got no images.
