4 bottlenose dolphins (3 adults, 1 calf) off Pen Morfa today, and 3 porpoises a bit further out.
Also, a mysterious big splash in amongst a flock of feeding birds (mostly juvenile gulls but including gannets, razorbills, guillemots, black headed gulls, greater black backed gulls, herring gulls, Manx shearwaters, kittiwakes), that remains unidentified - it never resurfaced, whatever it was.
Lots of seals around, some busy mating and plenty of pups.
We have had several enigmatic big splashes recently around Strumble recently, with no subsequent sighting of what caused them. Presumably if cetaceans we would see them come up for air but not. Shark would be our best guess!
