Another day, more cloud. It's getting boring now and we need the relief of some sunshine. A weak tide today so was'nt expecting much by way of action but in they came. Slow at first, then a few groups of three or four moving through the tide race foraging as they went. I'd estimate 12-16 all together and one marked animal with striking features on it's flank. I was treated to the sight of a Merlin chasing a small bird out over the sea then shooting accross in front of me at close quarters. I got some shots off and did get some reasonable but not great shots as you'll see below.
