Well, what a session I had today. It started much as the last few days with the odd porpoise at the start of the tide with distant commons putting in an appearance. Steadily through the session the number of porpoise increased and they moved closer with the forming tide race. There was feeding action with lots of dash and splash, There was re-sightings of one porpoise seen over the last three previous days, and there was two full breaches by possibly the same animal but 20 or so minutes apart. Best of all though was the appearance of well over 200 common dolphin moving NE to SW but about a mile out to the NW. This was followed shortly after by forty or so more passing close in East to West. So as you can imagine I was kept on my toes for the majority of my three hour session.
