From up north!

Watched a group of 12 harbour porpoises for about an hour from about 1.30 pm at Port Lynas Lighthouse.Lots of gannets around,weather quite wild.

Thanks Bernard, yep there are places with a view from above where even in quite wild weather porpoises show well in the waves. Thanks for the info! We kept an eye out for the bottles in Fishguard bay today but could not see any although had a report from Andrew a local obserrver, that an animal with a white leading edge to its fin was seen early this morning. It was probably one of the afore mentioned bottles.  A couple of porps, were seen of Pen Anglas with only a few gannets still present around lunchtime.
