Strumble diary 20/05/2019

A good number of porpoise around today with a good flow on the ebb tide they were feeding well. Holly, Fran and our two interns Elaura and Odette joined me for a survey and later Cliff arrived with two guests. The action was fast and furious with mostly dash and splash as they darted around feeding in the tide race. Most of the action was quite distant with only a couple of porpoise venturing a little closer in. Their distance plus a small technical difficulty with the kit meant I didn't get as many usable shots this session but hopefully I can sort it before my next outing. The bonus though was a sighting of a returning porpoise which I think is Jupiter but I'm sure Holly will confirm this and add it to the catalogue.
