Strumble Diary 21/09/2021

Another session at the point this time with Holly for company and to do the first proper data collection from this location. As soon as we arrived Holly spotted a pod of around twenty Commons some three hundred metres out. They were moving quickly with the tide so we rushed to get the cameras set up and managed to get some shots before they went out of view. We had timed it perfectly for the tide race which was building right below us and sure enough very soon the Porpoise came in to feed. We had porpoise there for the full two hours of the survey and recognised some of them from previous sightings. All in all an excellent survey and a new location will be added to our survey teams locations which will increase our data collection and study opportunities.
