I am a Crane Operator for shell UK and I would just like to report to you a healthy population of porpoise in the Southern Sector of the North Sea.
At the moment we have about 8 to 10 pairs of mother and calf around our platform this a regular occurance each year which lasts a few months.
The location position is as follows
SHELL SEAN PAPA 49/25 PLATFORM
53 Degrees. 11 mins. 23 seconds North
Zero 2 Degrees. 51 mins. 45 seconds East
I do hope this information can be of use to you For me this is a really fantastic experience as they come so close and the water is so clear.
