Dawn came red and rosy asure forcast of rain to follow and by lunchtime the rain had set in. But at least thee winds had dies down so we decided to pop down to Strumble to try and get a porpoise fix. It was not loking too promising until we realised there were three gannets foraging over the tide-race. We watched them circle and wheel and then as one, they hit the water like white arrows whilst briefly a little black back and triangular fin broke the surface nearby.
