Catch up Fishguard Harbour Mon-Wed

Quite a lot of activity with both Porpoise and dolphins recorded over the past three days. A late afternoon watch from the breakwater on Monday produced a surprise pod of distant Bottlenoses at least four but may have been more

I was up and early on Tuesday but no bottles to be seen! however there were at least half a dozen porpoises. They were mainly out towards Pen Anglas but a couple moved slowly towards the harbour mouth before dropping back towards Dinas Island/Pwllgwaelod. Later we visited  a lovely sunny and warm Newquay where Hannah broke her duck and at least four (probably more) including a subadult and a big adult with a white leading edge to the fin showed in the distance. Unfortunately we had to leave before they moved in any closer.
Today this afternoon, there seemed to be just a single porpoise foraging off Point Anglas, all in all not bad!
