Our latest click count survey recorded an average of 15 surfacing's per hour in less than ideal conditions of big waves and strange light caused by cloud shadows, bright sun and haziness from the windblown spray.
There were at least twenty Gannets wheeling over the tide race and lots of gull's at the beginning of the survey ,so although we could not see the porp's, it was fairly obvious they were there. I suspect had the conditions been favorable it would have been more like porp soup!
