North Cardigan Bay Bottles for May day

We wrapped up our Cardigan Bay surveys yesterday..... Beautiful sunshine and calm seas for a long survey run out of Aberywtwyth North to the Lleyn, back down to Aberdyfi, recover Aberystwyth again. Lots of gannets, auks, shags, terns and raft upon raft of shearwaters! The dolphins seemed to be in a mood to 'ambush' us.... A lone Bottlenose breached right alongside our stbd sponson a couple of times as we headed towards Sarn y Bwch, never to be seen again. Then on the return towards Aberystwyth we were once again approached (at speed) by a large pair who breached ahead of us as we dropped off the plane, then bow-rode until we came to a halt.....not to be seen again..... I had the camera to hand second time, so here's a very brief clip of our very brief encounter!
