From Gareth on the Stena Europe!

I just had a call from Gareth one of the Officers on the Stena Europe to report a Basking Shark just a couple of miles north of Strumble Lighthouse on the ferrys outward leg. It is the first one that has been recorded from the Stena Europe to my knowledge! Gareth reckons it was about four meteres long although thats pretty small by basker standards as they can reach three times that length. Gareth reckoned it was heading South but at the speed they swim, it would probably be dark before it came in view from the land! A great record though , well done Gareth!
