I finally caught up with one of the anglers who was fishing last Tuesday at Rest Bay and was surrounded by common dolphins. There were about 70 animals present, both adult and juvenile. Video footage was taken on a mobile phone and while I have seen it and can confirm common dolphins I was not able to obtain a copy. The encounter took place only about 1/ 2 mile offshore.
