Strumble diary 26/02/16

With a southeasterly wind, conditions were very calm off the lookout in Strumble terms anyway and although distant the porps were visible with the naked eye showing as little dark flashes against the greyish green background of the water.  I arrived just before high water with the tide race already pushing well out to the north. I'd say there were twelve to fifteen spread over a half mile of the race all feeding then resting for short periods. One thing of note was another animal with distinct fin markings which I have not encountered before (See 8th image down). That's three now in the past week and another to keep a look out for in future. Arrived 09:05 departed 10:30 ish.

Note the heavily notched fin.

There are two animals close together here.
