Porps and Commons 06/08/2016

A strange sort of a start at Strumble this morning. Conditions looked good with bright sunshine and fair conditions. Sightings were slow with only a few animals showing over the three or so hours I was there. A move to the outer breakwater later in the morning again with good conditions at the start but an increasing wind. No sign of the bottlenose across the six hour session however all was not lost as a pod of around fourty Commons appeared about 1/2 a mile out and split into several smaller groups with a couple of calves evident as well. They showed off and on over a few hours but never coming closer unfortunitely. Throughout the session several porps were also observed crossing the bay with only one coming close but not captured in camera.
