Strumble Diary 08/04/2017

A stunning day at Strumble today, a calm sea with afternoon temperatures nearing 20deg. The morning session was fruitless though with all the action way out of lens reach. I counted forty plus gannets over a large number of porps spread over a half mile or so and around 1 1/2 miles out. Come the afternoon though and it was a different story. Brad and myself arrived just after 3pm at the start of the flood tide with the action really getting going just before 4pm at which time Cliff, laura and Rens arrived. What followed was a porp fest as for nearly two hours the sightings came thick and fast.
