Bits and pieces... Commons , Bottles and Porpoises.

Regular breakwater angler Des, reported having seen a pod of around ten Bottlenose Dolphins on Sunday Afternoon.  whilst Common Dolphins have been seen of Strumble by Chris Grayell and others, with pods of 40+ and other smaller pods. First recorded there in 1997,  we waited until 2000 for4 the next record although there was day by day coverage by Graham Rees and myself over that period. In recent years they have been much more prevalent and an almost daily experience over the past couple of months. Porpoises continue to be a daily occurrence in numbers at Strumble but less reliable off the Breakwater although a mother and small calf were glimpsed on Tuesday and snapped by Brad..(see below) Yesterday Holly and new volunteer Ben had a pod of about ten Bottles so despite mixed weather cetacean watching continue to give superb results!
