It's always nice when an old friend shows up and today it was one of the oldest. A porp we've seen quite a few times and again she has a calf with her. Another record for the PFID project. At first the weather was pants with periodic swathes of dank drizzle all but taking the view away. Thankfully things did improve as the morning went on and with the ebb tide well underway the porps started showing well and moving closer. Several pairs were noted feeding up the tide race along with a few bigger groups early in the session off Mackerel Point. Cliff with Hattie from Cardiff joined me for the last half hour or so of the session before moving to observe seal pups near the lighthouse. I ended the session around 2pm.
