Strumble Diary 25/04/2018

An exciting but at times frustrating session today. With a strong and gusty N'Westerly blowing it was very difficult to find let alone track the porps in an at times a very confused sea. As the tide race formed the porpoise moved in and the action was fast and furious (sadly quite distant) with several waves of animals moving very rapidly up the tide flow hardly showing to take breaths. This lasted for fifteen minutes or so with up to thirty passing through in this manner. A lull then for some twenty minutes or so before a large group 10-12 animals came in and started feeding again quite distant but in front of the lookout. My poor eyes were being pulled all over the place as they set about feeding darting in all directions amongst the now increasing swells and it didn't help that the winds were proving a challenge with keeping the camera steady too. Hopefully the winds will have eased by tomorrow and the sun will shine on us too.
