Strumble Shark!

A visitor to our Ocean Lab Sarah Cooper, mentioned to Gita that her family had been to Strumble and seen what they were sure was a Basking Shark! They said they had some pic'sand would send them to us.Basking Shark Sightings are relatively rare at Strumble so we were quite excited.

Hello,
On Saturday 21st April at about 6p.m. 3 of us saw what we thought was a basking shark off Strumble Head, together with a large pod of porpoise.  We watched what we thought was a shark for over an hour before we left.  We called in at the Sea Life Centre the following Monday and showed Gita the photos I had taken and she suggested that I send them to you on my return home from holiday. I hope the attached are of interest to you.

Kind regards, John Cooper

I have played about / cropped Johns pic's a bit and I am pretty convinced that they were correct in identifying this animal as a Basking Shark Nice one John!
