Strumble Diary 01/09/2018

Getting back to normal now after various family events, so it was nice to get back out to Strumble to spend some time with my little cetacean friends. The tide was ebbing with fairly flat seas despite a brisk SSE wind that was blowing off the land. There were a good number of porpoise busy feeding throughout the session with a lot of dash and splash which meant that photo ID of these was impossible. There were others milling about and moving through so there were opportunities here which I gladly took. The last five images below show an identifyable porpoise that Lloyd had captured on camera the previous day and these images will enable Holly to build a better database entry for this animal and give it a suitable name. All in all a good session with approx 20-30 animals sighted.
