Strumble Diary. 17/18th December Risso's around, Porp's popping up at Pen Anglas!

On Monday morning Fran and Adam accompanied Holly for a survey at Strumble, despite cold and windy conditions the Porp's were showing well throughout the session although unfortunately no marked individuals.

As they scanned Fran caught some big splashes and tall hooked fins in the distance. Our Risso's seem to have been  pretty resident since October. Lets hope they stick around for our New Years Day Porpoise watch (2.30-3.30 New Years Day at Strumble!)

Yesterday, Sophie and the Cliff had a quick look at the Outer Breakwater and were delighted to spot around half a dozen porp's feeding below gulls and a couple of Gannets off Pen Anglas, Sophie's first for this location!
